| Studio Art Ages 10 & Up Wednesdays Time: 10:30-11:30 Cost: $285 Supplies: Click here for Supply List This class is great for those who already have had some previous art training or have already shown an artistic interest. In order to introduce your child to several aspects of studio art, We’ll be working with a variety of media including: pencil, color pencil, watercolor pencil, charcoal, oil pastel, acrylic paint, watercolor paint, & oil paint. Students will learn a variety of techniques including: Composition, Layout & Design, Shading, Quartering, How to use color, Blending, & more. This is a technique based class- not project based- so your child will learn "how to draw what he sees" versus "how to draw a tree". This style of teaching gives the child the tools they need to continue their art studies without being confined to the ‘one way’ to do things. This is a very upbeat class. Your child will be encouraged & challenged; but never told what they are creating is ‘wrong’- art is in the eye of the beholder |
