| Mondays 9th & Up Grammar & Essay Time: 1:35-2:40 Cost: $285 Supplies: $10 workbook fee We’ll use a sampling of several workbooks to help your child get a handle on grammar while taking the fear out of essay writing! We’ll focus on word usage, comma usage, punctuation, editing, noun/verb agreement, parts of speech review, prepositional phrases, direct & indirect objects- & how to identify them. Students will learn how to write an essay from notes to outline to rough draft to final product! They will learn the step by step plan they need to write well & efficiently. We’ll also learn about descriptive writing as well as the many different styles of writing. This is a great class for all skill levels! I keep an upbeat & encouraging atmosphere going to encourage your child in what can often be a difficult subject. |
