Elementary & Middle Grades

9:00-9:50 Spanish Fun
Grades 2nd-5th Students will need a single subject notebook and folder with prongs. Grades K-1st welcome to attend but will not be required to write the same as the older kids. 
    This is a great class for both those who have had no introduction to Spanish or some conversational Spanish/vocabulary building. We will work with an awesome collection of worksheets from Frank
Schaffer publishing as well as hands on activities to encourage your child’s love for this language!

10:00-10:50 Art for Everyone
Grades 2nd-5th Students will need a 9x12 or 11x14 heavyweight drawing tablet. Grades K-1st are welcome to join us and their projects will be age appropriate. 
    This is a great class for your budding artist! We have a great time learning about the various types of art and building technique through working with a wide variety of mediums! Throughout the year, we will work with everything from charcoal to watercolors! This is a very low pressure class; your child will be encouraged to give their absolute best and have a great time. All skill levels will be praised!  *If you have a child who is wanting a more advanced art class, please ask me about my Intermediate and advanced art classes held in North Hall and Habersham counties.

11:00-11:50 Building Writing Skills Writing Power! 
CORRECTION- Grades 2nd-5th

Students will need a single subject notebook and folder with prongs.
    Writing is the nemesis of so many students, but it does not have to be! We go through each step of the writing process with a variety of activities designed to help your child build their confidence, skill, and
voice. Students are encouraged each step of the way with step-by-step directions. Whether your child is having trouble getting their thoughts in order or struggles to write a sentence- this class will help!

High School Grades

2:00-2:50 High School Essay Writing
Grades 9th and Up Students will need a single subject notebook & binder w/ paper.

   Often students just don’t know where to begin. In this class, they will learn everything from how to get their thoughts in order, research a topic, prepare an outline, vary their sentences, and write a great thesis to editing a finished product! Each nine weeks we work on a different style of essay. All lessons are taught with an MLA mindset to prepare your child for college writing. Even if your child has had
writing classes in the past, they will not be bored in this class.  All students are taught with an upbeat attitude and lessons are explained in a way they can understand.

3:00-4:00 High School Spanish One
NOTE- This is a full year (36 weeks) course and is $320 for the year plus books. Payments may be made, but students must sign up for the entire year.

We use the curriculum Ven Conmigo level one by Holt Rhinehart Winston. This class is open to those who are either brand new to Spanish or have had 'child' classes in the past. Students will be expected to spend three to four hours a week at home working on their weekly lessons & practicing vocabulary. We will not only learn about the Spanish language, but also our Spanish speaking neighbors.
